My father's fraternal grandmother was BELANSZKY Anna. She died in 1910 before my father Tony ever met her.

Geographic Origin: BELANSZKY Anna was born in Horne Krskany, Slovakia (which was then Alsokereskeny, Hungary). This was and is in the Nitra District. Tracing back the family history back to 1700, the family originates from the nearby town of Pana.

Religion: The BELANSZKY's were probably Catholic.

Oldest Known Ancestor: Recent research traces my family back to my great great great, great, great grandfather BELANSZKY Martin (b. 1719) who was married to GALBAVA Barbora (daughter of GALBAVEHO Jana and DANIELOVEJ Katariny).

Living Descendants: There are likely living descendants in Budapest and around Nitra, Slovakia, but no living relations are known.
