Married UNGAR Sarolta[3]. Died in kitchen fire.[3]
Son SCHWARTZ Lajos* (Louis) (father of SCHWARTZ Lloyd).[3] Louis was the first SCHWARTZ to come to America. Later, in the late 30's, he helped his brother Jerry come to America too.[2] Eldest.
Son SCHWARTZ Miklos.[3] Farmer in Janoshalma (Hungarian countryside). Miklos has a beautiful wife named Margaret and three children: Vera (abt. 1920), Paul (abt. 1923) and Peter (abt. 1940). Paul later worked his Uncle Jeno's store in Budapest. Miklos, his wife and 3 children all died in the camps.
Son SZEKELY SCHWARTZ Sandor (1892/93)
Daughter SCHWARTZ Hanika. Husband KELLNER Kalman (accountant). Children: KELLNER Imre (abt. 1920) & KELLNER George (Gyuri) (polio) (abt. 1924)[3b]. Kalman & Imre died in Russian labor camps. George died in his mothers arms of TB in the Budapest Ghetto.[3] Honika survived and after the war Hanika worked as a cook in the Jewish public kitchen in Kazinczy u. Budapest.  She remarried Izidor Ysrael RUCKMANN (of Miskolc) in Hungary[3] and moved to Israel where she died.[3]died Her son Gyuri was buried in the Jewish cemetery of Kozma u., Budapest, lot #22, row #46, grave #22).  Izidor RUCKMANN submitted many pages of testimony on this family to yadvashem.
Widowed
Married FISCHMAN Hani. As was the custom, SCHWARTZ Herman quickly remarried to FISCHMANN Hanni after his first wife died in a kitchen fire.[3]
Son SCHWARTZ Kalman. Hanni lost her first baby (in childbirth or before). Kalman was her first to survive. She held him particularly dear.[4]
Son SCHWARTZ Joseph* (Jerry) (1912)
Son SCHWARTZ Ferenc (aka SARLO Feri) (b. 3 March 1901, second husband of FISCHMANN SARLO Cecilia. Both are burried at Groman Motuaries in Los Angeles. In 1956, Jerry arranged for Feri & Cila to come out from Hungary too.[2]
Son SCHWARTZ Jeno. Married Rozsi with daughter Gyorgy (abt. 1838?) (possibly Ildiko?). All never returned from camps. Jeno owned a market in Budapest. He was a good businessman, easy going & generous.[7]
Son SCHWARTZ Bela. Merchant of food market in Kispest. Married Lili with sons Karoly (abt. 1932) and Ocsi (abt. 1933) (nickname). All 4 never returned from camps.[7]
Son SCHWARTZ Ervin (b. 25 May 1915 in Budapest V[13]) Died in the war. Youngest male. Unmarried.[10] Worked in Jerry Schwartz's market in Budapest. Drafted into regular army. Wore uniform, but not entitled to carry firearms (Forced-Labor company 109/3[26]). Detailed to clear minefields. Died/buried in Plotava (Ukraine?) on 27 Oct 1942 of pneumonia[26]. (Alternate [erroneous]: Died in Ukraine probably in Jan 1945 at the battle of Kiev at age 28 or 29.[7])
Son SCHWARTZ Erzsebet Eliseva Esther Bozsi (Budapest? abt. 1907-Auschwitz, 1944)[22]; second marriage to WEISZ Jeno (b. Subotica 1905; d. Munkaszogalat, Ukraine, 1944), merchant[21][23]; daughters: Magda (Subotica, 1931-1944)[18][20], Zsuzsa (Subotica, 1937-1944)[17][19], Rene (Subotica, 1935-1944)[16].   [Possible alternate: Ildiko + possible 2nd daughter (Gyorgy?)]; Lived in Subotica, Yugoslavia. All perished in Auschwitz, 1944. (Erzebet was the youngest sister.)[7] WEISZ Jeno was a brother of WEISZ Lazslo who married FISCHMANN Sari.[10]
Died Auschwitz, 1944[15].  Herman & Hani moved from Kispest to live with their daughter Erzsebet in Subotica, Yugoslavia because they thought it was safer. They were taken away with Erzsebet's family. Herman died in the wagon while being taken away to the camps at age 92. Hani had to stay with him in the wagon and no doubt later died in the camps.[7]
